Ebony M. Kemp

Chief Executive Officer:

 

Ms. Kemp provides strategic direction for business operations and growth initiatives bringing a wealth of knowledge from her experiences as a HR professional for several Fortune 500 companies.  She provides strategic support in the areas of staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, talent management, and performance management. Ms. Kemp arranges, communicates, and implements GSHG the vision, mission, and overall direction. She puts into action the strategies that are necessary for the company to achieve its goals. Ms. Kemp provides leadership in developing her team and is involved in budgeting, designing, and marketing. Ms. Kemp supports her team with a winning attitude and believes in establishing quality hotels with the guest in mind which will contribute to the success of Garden State Hospitality Group.

 

Nick DeVito

Chief Development Officer:

 

Nick DeVito is a seasoned developer who has been providing services to the hospitality industry since 1974. He has extensive experience in developing quality, independent & branded hotels including Holiday Inn, Marriott, Best Western and Radisson, just to name a few. Mr. DeVito specializes in all phases of hotel and hospitality development, from planning to zoning all the way to the grand opening phase. Prior to joining our team Mr. DeVito was the General Manager of DeVito Construction, which is a real estate investment, development and construction company that has been actively built throughout the United States for generations Mr. DeVito’s hands-on development style complements the design guidelines set forth by the hotel franchisor ensuring a quality product.

               

Claude A. Kemp

President/Founder:

 

Mr. Kemp is a seasoned hotelier with years of management/operation experience in mid-scale, extended stay, and select service properties. He has developed a track record of success and credibility in the market, having catered to affluent national and international clientele. Throughout his career Mr. Kemp has been dedicated to excellence and has earned a reputation as a strong leader with a can-do attitude. Educated in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Kemp’s hotel career began in Princeton, NJ where he held positions in various departments of branded hotels. This hands-on approach provided him the invaluable experience of learning the business from the bottom up, setting the foundation for his desire to become a hotel owner.

 

John Morris,

Business Development Officer:

 

Mr. Morris brings advanced knowledge of hotel and facility management services that includes budgeting labor, equipment, supplies, and related services/materials required for large scale operations. He has also received training implementing safety and security initiatives and coordinating emergency response teams.  His scope of responsibilities preparing engineering analysis and implementing facilities operations have  honed executive, facilities, and guest relations, presentation, communication, analytical and problem solving skills critical to proficiency and growth in the hospitality services.
